 High Wind Warning  Statement as of 4:06 PM PST on November 21, 2009


... High Wind Warning in effect until 10 am PST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a High Wind
Warning... which is in effect until 10 am PST Sunday. The high
wind watch is no longer in effect.

Strong southerly winds are expected late this afternoon and
evening ahead of a deepening surface low that will move into
western Washington late tonight. Winds will become northwesterly and
remain strong as the low lifts through the interior early Sunday
morning. Sustained winds will reach 35 to 45 mph with gusts to
around 70 mph. Winds will begin to ease late Sunday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means that a hazardous wind event is imminent
or occurring. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph... or gusts of 58
mph or higher will occur across The Lowlands.
