Widespread fog has intruded the remainder of southeast Texas and western portions of central Louisiana. A few patches of dense fog will be possible in these areas. Some fog over the near shore waters east of Johnson Bayou will limit visibility to less than 1 mile at times.

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a dense
fog advisory... which is in effect until 9 am CST this morning.
A warm front has backed across the region this morning allowing
Gulf moisture to move inland. As a result areas of dense fog has
developed along and generally south of the I-10 corridor.
Conditions are expected to improve gradually after sunrise.
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

A warm front has backed across the region this morning opening the area to Gulf moisture...as a result areas of dense fog has formed mainly along and south of the I-10 corridor with patchy dense fog elsewhere. Fog is expected to begin lifting after sunrise. Temperatures today will rise into the middle 70s under partly cloudy skies. Clouds will increase overnight ahead of a cold front that will push through the region around sunrise. Scattered showers to develop out ahead of the front tapering off behind the frontal passage. Cooler temperatures in store over the weekend with lows Sunday morning in the middle 30s and highs near 60.
