Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 3:10 am EST on January 8, 2009
... Red flag warning remains in effect from noon today to 5 PM EST
this afternoon due to long durations of low rh and strong winds...
breezy west winds will be near 20 mph with higher gusts today. Rh
values will fall below 35 percent for 4 to 5 hours. Minimum values
will be 25 to 30 percent.
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create explosive fire growth potential.
