axis of high pressure is slipping southward across the area. Northwest flow 
will continue to back this afternoon in response to trough approaching 
from the north. Cross peninsular flow will create increasingly dry 
conditions this afternoon with temperatures topping above 70 degrees. Current 
forecasts are in good shape and no updates are planned.

Marine...offshore winds backing to west this afternoon will 
temporarily abate seas...seas close to the coast have already 
diminished to 1-2 feet. Winds will increase once again tonight 
especially over the outer waters with passage of trough. Caution 
statement may be required well offshore for winds/seas.

Fire weather...warming temperatures westerly winds and lower dewpoints suggest 
critical fire weather conditions this afternoon. Morning sounding @ xmr 
indicated a deep dry layer with precipitable water only 0.32 in. Continued red 
flag warning area wide.
